Azura's Top 5 Underrated Anime Series
There is a lot of anime out there. Some you may have missed when watching seasonal anime or some you never heard of. Here is 5 series you could check out that are underrated.

Bartender is about Sasakura Ryuu a genius bartender who is the Bartender of Eden Hall a bar located in Tokyo. He is able to create the perfect cock tails for any occasion. You see many walks of life come to Eden Hall. From politicians to actors. Everyone has a story to tell. We hear everyones story who comes into Eden hall. Some of them can be very touching. It shows what they have gone through. I would say Bartender is like sitting around a campfire telling story since that is what this is. It's relaxing and has a very Mushishi style feel to it.
2. Nobunaga Concerto [Release: 2014, Genre: Romance]
Nobunage Concerto is about Sabarou a lazy high school student who gets sent to The Wanning States period of Japan and becomes a double for Nobunaga Oda. It shows him having to adapt to this new culture which he is not accustomed to and getting power to rule a country with some romance mixed in. One downside to this series is that it has some pretty bad CGI at times.
So what's is Moribito about? A water spirit possessed a prince by the name of Chagum and while he was almost killed him. A spear women by the name of Balsa rescued him. The Queen asked her to protect him and gave her quite a bit of money. Thus there adventure began. They're trying to figure out how to get the water spirit out of Chagum while be chased by assassins, and exploring the world. It has really good world building and the animation is absolutely stunning. I never seen fights this well choreographed in a tv series before well besides the Ufotable adaptions of Fate.
Kuuchuu Buranko is an episodic series that takes place in what I believe is Tokyo. It follows patients which all have some different issue and they see this psychiatrist by the name of Ichiro Irabu. Irabu always gives them a vitamin shot and has some unique treatment for each of their issues. Some of the patients range from romance authors to trapeze performers to baseball players. All of the patients come in a specific time of the year which is between December 17th to December 25th. And You do see them in other episodes as well. The story does not take place just in the Hospital that Irabu works at either. Us the viewer follow each patient as they get to deal with curing whatever issue they have. As well as getting more insight on the issue they have from an actual doctor who pops in each episode to give us more information. This anime won't be for everyone. It uses a LOT of rotoscope. It has a very unique art style to that isn't like most anime of today and it can put a lot of people off.
3. Moribito: The Guardian Spirit [Release: 2007, Genre: Fantasy]

5. The Tatami Galaxy [Release: 2010, Genre: Romance]
Tatami Galaxy is something that is a bit unique. First off we have a protagonist with no name. We tend to just refer to him as Watashi as that means I in Japanese. It's about Watashi who is in college and wants to make friends, find love and and experience this rose shaped campus life he imagined. It's episodic series that always resets after each episode. He joins various clubs and each club has a new experience. Also when Watashi narrates he talks really fast. This series will test how fast you can read subtitles. It's a series that makes you think with a lot of symbolism in each episode. It's not for everyone as it is a big weird and surreal and is something that may require you to watch it multiple times to get all the symbolism and the meanings. If you're up for the challenge of watching Tatami Galaxy than enjoy the ride it moves fast.
